Goal of activity – What will the final outcome be? What will doing the activity achieve?
The goal of this activity is to create glass jar candle holders with the participants of St.Hildas and to make it a very enjoyable and fun experience for them, and they can also got to  take their finished product home with them.

Learning outcomes of the activity
Learned  how to facilitate a group of people and to be able to adjust and adapt the activity to suit each individuals ability to carry out the activity

Method: Steps for making or doing activity:
Use images with short captions if possible

1. Firstly each individual was giving a jar and they painted it with PVA glue

2. Next they chose what colour sand they wanted to use and they rolled the jar in the sand so it stuck to the jar.

3. Let the jars dry for 5 minutes
4. Attached different decorations and stickers to the jars

5. Attached a ribbon around the rim of the jar.
6. Placed battery operated candle into jar

Individual or Group?
This was a group work project

Style of facilitation?

Small groups and one to one as each indivuat worked alongside one service user
Safety concerns? If any

Candles were a safety concern so we chose to get battery operated ones instead
Also the hot glue gun caused concerns so we agreed as a group that if a service
user needed to stick something on using the gun we would use it for them

Evaluation of activity:  How will you know you have achieved your goal?

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this activity and enjoyed working as part of a group, all service users were extremely happy with their finished product and we achieved our goal of creating an enjoyable and fun experience for the service users and ourselves.
