Childcare Peer facilitations - Paper fortune Teller


Materials used: Plain paper, scissors, markers and pens

Time plan: 10-20 minutes
Room and/or equipment requirements: Classroom/ art room

General Aim of activity – What will the final outcome be? To make a paper fortune teller

Specific Learning outcomes of the activity – What will be learned by doing the activity?  To use fine motor skills using the scissors


Steps for making or doing activity:
Using a square piece of plain paper fold, it from the top corner to the bottom corner. So it looks like a triangle.
Fold the triangle in half.
Open it out.
Fold all sides to the middle
At this stage it should look like an envelope.
Flip it over and fold all the corner in towards the middle again.
It should look like a smaller envelope.
Fold the smaller envelope in half.
Use your finger to push all the flaps in to make the fortune teller come together.
