Age group/s: (development level)
This can be suitable for children of the ages 5+ years as it a great idea of messy play and children love using glitter and water in activities from my experience. This is a great way because this activity has a lot of room for error.
How would you make the activity more inclusive? Principles of universal design
• I would have the cups of different colours of water section to be flexible with plenty of colour options.
• That the information and the steps to complete the activity are clear and what stations to go to and what order.
• That there is plenty of space and room for error, children can be messy and need plenty of equipment to keep them interested. Have backup plans if things can go wrong and for this activity, have a first aid box close by in case of accident.
• The low physical effort in this activity can be used by children with certain disabilities or with children that may find it difficult can be helped with an adult easily.
