Aim: To introduce the project approach and the assignment

Objectives: To demonstrate the project approach using ideas and the white board.
To form teams within the class
To allow teams to write a team contact based on good outlined principles
Content of team contract:
  • Name of team
  • Names and contact details of team members
  • Leader of team
  • Date of agreement 
  • Aim and objectives of the group - what is it setting out to achieve
  • Rules of the groupwork - listening, offering ideas and points of view, how reach a decision, and getting involved wholeheartedly 
  • Respect
  • Attendance 
  • Responsibilities
  • Expectations of group members
  • Roles of team members
  • Named contribution of group members - abilities/skills/etc
  • Limitations of group members - time, money or ability 
  • Communication - agreed channels - facebook group/dropbox/email etc
  • Dealing with conflict - agreed procedures
