Ink Spiders, Horses or Monsters!

Can you see the horse?? or a monster!

Ink blown by straw

Aim: 

To demonstrate the ink blowing technique

Objectives:

To use ink and a straw to make marks
To use your imagination to create an image
To play with ideas for the development of the ink work 

Materials:

  1. Black ink or various coloured inks: Winsor & Newton Drawing inks
  2. Paper - I have used the paper that was marked with the bleeding tissue paper as a background. Use any paper you wish.
  3. An ink dropper 
  4. Drinking Straw

Instructions:

  1. Lay out the paper 
  2. Using the dropper put the ink in the centre of the page 
  3. Using the straw blow the ink outwards to achieve 'branches' or 'arms'.
  4. Other colours can be added also
  5. Imagine what the image could be? and add features such as eyes etc.
