Bleeding Tissue Art

Aim: 

To introduce the medium bleeding tissue paper
(Suppliers: Amazon.co.uk Spectra Art tissue paper)

Objectives: 

To make an image using bleeding tissue paper 
To experience the effects of the bleeding tissue and think about other ideas for the medium
To observe the drying of the tissue and how it changes when the water drys up
To make a see through image for a window

Materials:

Spectra Art Tissue
A3 Paper
Water
Clear Sticky back plastic

Instructions:

  1. Tear out or cut the tissue into the shapes you wish to make an image or pattern
  2. Place on the paper and add the water using a spray or a paint brush 
  3. The tissue colour will bleed into each other 
  4. Let the tissue dry 
  5. Peel off the label of the clear sticky back plastic and and pick up the tissue with the sticky side
  6. Place another sticky plastic piece to the back, to encase the tissue image and allow the light to pass through.
