Salad Spinning Art

Using a salad washer to make spinning art

Aim: To introduce how movement can be used to make marks

1. Place circle of paper in the bottom of the spinner and add paint 
2. Add the lid and spin
3. Take lid off and take out artwork; leave to dry

Salad spinner

The great thing about this is the element of surprise on the children's faces when the salad spinner is spun and at the end there is a piece of artwork. Don't be afraid to experiment with different materials and mediums.
