Marbling with ink and shaving foam

Marbling with Ink and Shaving Foam
Paper with  marbling shaving foam ink pattern.

Aim: To use shaving foam as a medium for holding the inks to create a marbling effect on paper

Method: In a container, spray in the shaving foam. Using a variety of inks, place drops on top of the foam. Using a pencil swirl the foam around to create a pattern. Place paper over the foam and press down to allow the ink to connect with the paper. Remove from the container and using a ruler remove the foam to reveal the pattern on the paper. Allow to dry.
This method of marbling is a very good way to control the pattern making process on the surface.

Variations: coloured paper, tissue paper, toilet rolls, writing on the foam, wax resist and fabric.
Extensions:  letters, numbers, patterns, colours
