  Introduction to Facilitation Group - Disability group

Aim:

• To allow the students to interact with the service users
• To hear from the service users about what they would like to do
• To gain an understanding the strengths and abilities of the service users
• To get to know everyone by name

Activities:

• Listening and engaging session; dialogue to the group and on an individual basis  
• Game: 'Simon says' for fun and active engagement - Large group
  
   

         

• Name tags: Smaller group working on name tags and placing them on a large sheet on the wall - inclusion and belonging

• Storymaking: using play objects help the group to make a story - imagination and fun

 

• Foam experiment: Small piece of foam clay to each person and create some thing - open ended play, imagination and dexterity
