Using the body outline in early education


Aim: To introduce the group to using body shapes for creative work

Learning objectives: To introduce the body as a template for...
  1.  learning body parts; learning the words for body parts
  2.  anatomy; what is inside the body? what does each part do?
  3.  story making; exploring the imagination with storymaking, shareing and telling
  4. fact and fiction; exploring what is a fact and what is fiction 
  5. 3d work and 2d work; using collage, building up parts using man-made or natural materials
  6. large work and small work; working with size,
  7. identity and culture: what made us the same and different
  8. talking about emotions; where do you feel angry? sad? 
  9. Games: using the shape to create a fun game based on numeracy and/or literacy
