MOCK Placement interviews
The format of class:
Students meet supervisors from the placement agencies in groups of 5-7 in a large room. The supervisors asked the students questions likely to be asked in an interview.The student gets an opportunity to ask the agency questions and hears the answers to the questions posed by the other students. The agencies give feedback on all the questions.
The students are dressed and presented appropriately for an 'interview'. The student must carry a CV with a number of relevant details: references, results, statements etc.
The advantage of this approach is an 'authentic' experience as the agency meets prospective future employees as well as meeting other agencies in a collective networking exercise.
