Creative Groupwork
Inspiring the mind for new ideas
Students you are asked to find a theme that will inspire and inform your activity with St Hilda's Group
- The theme is going to inspire your approach. We all know the usual ones, Christmas, Halloween, etc. if you have heard it before stay away from it!
- Do not think about the techniques or the specifics of the activity at all yet.
- The activity with the group can be very random and different - there is no right or wrong as long as its creative and engaging.
- Look around and choose a random object - play with the idea of the object - what could it be made of instead? what if there were a 100 of them? what if it was very large or very small? What can you change? If it was represented how could it be done? Are there other elements within the theme and can they be combined to give an unusual idea?
- See the world as possibilities
- Use your minds' eye to play with the theme
- Brainstorm words that come to mind.
- Remember the ordinary can be extraordinary and the extraordinary can be super-ordinary, depending on your viewpoint.
