Finger Puppets
Materials used:
Coloured sheets of paper, glitter, feathers, googly eyes, glue, pencil, scissors.
Time plan:
1-2 hours depending on the age of the child.
Room and/or equipment requirements:
Room and no equipment required.
General Aim of activity – What will the final outcome be? ie. ‘To make an aeroplane with cardboard’ box.
To make finder puppet with coloured sheets of paper.
Specific Learning outcomes of the activity – What will be learned by doing the activity? Ie. ‘To use fine motor skills using the scissors’
Children will develop their fine motor skills when using scissors to cut out circles.
Steps for making or doing activity:
Use images with short captions
Step 1:
Gather all the materials. Then draw circles on the coloured sheets, one big for the body and one small for the head.
Step 2:
Cut out the circles and stick them together at the ends. Then cut out smaller circles at the bottom of the big circles.
Step 3:
Decorate your puppets with glitter, feathers, etc.
