This is a very simple weaving idea: Fix two sticks together, with twine at each end, to create a gap in the middle.
Tie wool or twine around the middle of the sticks.
Weave in and out with any found materials for example: cloth, tin foil, tissue paper, straws and even christmas decorations. This is a great way for children to use their fine moter skills and they love collecting items for use in the weaving.

Why not try it out in the forest and weave leaves, twigs and grasses into the masterpiece! The forest ones can be hung on a tree outside as a reminder of what the children saw on their nature walk.
Remember to be flexible in your thinking.....you will never look at the recycling bin in the same way again!
